Maria began her career in the real estate field nearly two decades ago. However, her passion for houses and home design began well before that with her first job in home and lifestyle TV production. During the years working on the set, she started her family in New York City before relocating to NJ. GR is where she and her husband have been raising their two teenage boys.
Inspired real estate, is how Maria focuses all her projects in this field. Over the years she quickly discovered that there is often a very personal story, as to what drive clients’ to buy and sell homes. These stories are the true inspiration and foundation of her business; they provide the motivation to lead her clients, as a team, to a successful transaction. She is known for this specialized service as well as her top market knowledge.
Understanding the local market and national trends are key to strategic price, targeted marketing and ultimately property transactions. This has never been more important than in the fluid, current marketplace. Maria listens carefully, to both buyers and sellers. She is a strong advocate for open and honest communication being crucial to every relationship.
From touring homes, to contract negotiations, inspections, photography, staging, lending options and on to moving and closing, Maria is always in contact with clients, literally for each and every step. Maria has been named to the NJAR Circle of Excellence in 2001,2003-2007, 2012-2015. Since entering the real estate field in 2000, she’s used her inspired real estate method to craft customized plans for each client and their story.
Maria is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a Political Science major with a Music and Theater concentration. The latter is what landed her first phase career in TV/Film production in NYC. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Maria followed that first path which included stints at NBC’s Saturday Night Live, HBO Comedy and Lifetime Television working with Bobby Flay among others. This also might explain why to this day she considers herself such a foodie. Of course with her real estate passion, she is obsessed with working on her home and its countless renovations inside and out! Cooking and renovation perfectly paired as she co-chaired the 2016 Glen Ridge Kitchen Tour. As a self-proclaimed Musical Theatre geek, Maria spends time volunteering with the Glen Ridge High School Drama Club and is a proud supporter and volunteer of Montclair’s Jazz House Kids. Her greatest gifts and most love come from her family, her husband and two boys. But admittedly with a little help from her devotion to Yoga!
